CR Squared, LLC

We are the Allen family, Brad and Nicole. We have two children who love their community as much as we do and engage at their schools. We have lived in Sturgeon Bay since moving from North Carolina in 2017. We vacationed for a long time, coming to visit family that has been in Door County for over thirty years. We strongly believe in helping to build our community and giving back so that future generations can benefit and learn about not only the community, but the history it holds.

Brad Allen:

I grew up in central North Carolina through the eighties and nineties, graduating high school in 1997. Upon graduation, I joined the United States Marine Corps, training on the CH-46E helicopter as a mechanic and crew chief, stationed at MCAS El Toro and Edwards AFB, California before moving back to North Carolina at MCAS New River in Jacksonville. I deployed three times, two of which were in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom with the CH-46E and in 2005 my unit stood down as a CH-46E unit and trained on the MV-22 Osprey, becoming a tiltrotor squadron and deployed for my fourth tour overseas. In 2010 I left the military with an Honorable Discharge and pursued an aviation degree through Southern Illinois University Carbondale while also shifting to a career in automotive service as an assistant service manager and service manager. Working in Hendrick Automotive Group (Rick Hendrick Motorsports affiliate) for their Toyota store in Wilmington, NC.

In 2008 I met Nicole and she brought me to Door County for the first time where we fell in love with the area, saying we would one day move here. We were married a couple years later and would start to grow our family a couple years after that. With our little ones in tow, we decided in 2017 to move to Sturgeon Bay and begin a new chapter. We instantly fell in love with the community with Nicole taking a position at the hospital and I took a position at Jim Olson motors, back to my automotive career. After a couple years, my career changed and I joined on at the local post office as a city mail carrier and now supervisor.

My crypto background dates back to roughly 2012 when I started to dabble into cryptocurrency in small portions with Bitcoin and trying to learn more about it all. I kept my amounts small as at the time, as it was a small hobby and nothing serious until many years later.  After learning what I had, I started to take it more seriously and invest in different coins to diversify my portfolio.

Nicole Allen:

I was born in the suburbs of Chicago, and  moved to Wilmington, North Carolina at the age of eight. After graduating high school in 2001, I pursued a Bachelor's of Science in nursing from East Carolina University, achieving it in 2005. Working as a registered nurse for 16 years, certified as an Oncology nurse and upon moving to Door County in 2017, continuing in the field until changing careers in 2021. This allowed me to have more flexibility with  family and to work from home. 

It was not until early 2020 that I started to pay more attention to cryptocurrency and getting more involved with Brad and our investments. I quickly fell in love with crypto and its possibilities along with the projects that are already backed by community support. We have learned a lot together through our crypto journey, I love to research everything, so for me it is a lot of fun learning more about crypto. When I was in my nursing role, one of my favorite aspects was patient education. I always felt that this helped alleviate anxiety and really empower people to feel in control of their medical needs. I feel excited to be able to translate that to cryptocurrency and share my knowledge of everything we have learned in our journey. I want to empower people to take finances in their own hands and to be safe about it.  This ties all of my passions together with the financial world, helping people, and giving back. 

Most cryptocurrencies are community driven and we have built friendships and bonds with people we have never even met. We were really inspired by the online communities in projects we had been invested in and our goal is to bring this similar connection to our local community where we can meet once a month as a crypto investing or interest group. There is no way for one person to know everything going on, and this is going to be a great opportunity for our community to come together and learn from one another.

Together:

Nicole and I have shifted from just a hobby, to a passion over the past couple years and have been heavily focused into the world of cryptocurrency learning many lessons, some costly and some profitable. What we have found out, is that in crypto, many people try to do it on their own and have lost significant amounts of investment capital and faith in the projects. Without a basic knowledge, this is very common and for crypto to succeed, more investors must be educated to achieve their financial goals. Since February of 2021, we have helped many of our friends and family with education and wallet creation, some ranging from no knowledge to minimal knowledge of crypto. This is where we learned that there are many people interested in cryptocurrency, but not a lot of startup information, which leads to poor decisions and investments. Hence the birth of CR Squared which broken down stands for Crypto Revolution and the squared part is what we want our investments to do, multiply! We want to help people understand what  cryptocurrency is and how to navigate the investment opportunities related to it. It is an evolution in finance in our opinion, and to be at the cutting edge of an evolutionary change, means the opportunity for great financial growth for our community. We strongly believe in giving back to our community and we are excited to do just that.
